T is our new favorite letter!

Last Friday was our first game as Wildcats. We traveled to Pflugerville. It was great to see that the visitor side was PACKED! So packed that we had to sit on "extra" side bleachers.

It was so fun to see everyone in action. Coaches, players, fans, cheerleaders...everyone!

We started off fast. At half time we were leading 27-17. I can't pretend to know what happened after that. All I can say is it was opposite of what the first half looked like. The final score was 52-33.

Here are some pictures I snapped...

My favorite people in blue...

I know good things are happening at Temple. I'm glad we are along for the ride!

His momma didn't raise no fool...

She's the kind of person who makes sure your sheets are perfectly clean and smell like lavender or some other wonderful smell before you go bed. You will never go hungry at her house. She makes sure that everyone has something they love to eat at every meal, even if it means cooking several different things. She can get a stain out of anything! She's a last minute Christmas shopper. But everyone will have a bag full of goodies before the night is over. She loves to rock babies. She plants lots of flowers. She's a bargain hunter. She loves her family.

She's my bestfriends momma. So glad she raised a man so perfect for me...I'm forever grateful!

Happy Birthday, Janell!

First day of First and Fourth

I wonder if they miss me as much as I miss them (minus the homeschooled one). He's already back in bed.

Lucky for us!

So four years ago we stumbled onto the most amazing coaching staff we had ever been on. Aaron loved everyone he worked with and I looooooved their wives! Roxanne, the head coaches wife, did an awesome job of making us all feel welcome and because of her we soon became a family. While our husbands were hard at work, we spent our time having potlucks, making crafts, raising babies, shopping, or just hanging out. It was something special. I will be forever grateful!

Last spring the head coach at Cooper, Mike Spradlin, decided to take the head football/AD job at Temple HS. He asked Aaron to come along and be the defensive coordinator. We were both excited about the opportunity. Another bonus, some of our best friends from Abilene came along.

While we did leave some great friends behind, I'm glad to say the coaching staff at Temple is also amazing. We picked up right where we left off. Every year before football season starts Roxanne has us over to 'wine and dine' us. She makes us feel so special and it's always fun having a girls night.

She goes out of her way to make everything perfect from the meal, to the decorations, to the fellowship, to the goodie baskets she gives each and everyone of us...

My favorite "goodie" in our basket was three hours of 'fluff your stuff'. We had three tickets, each one represented an hour of whatever we needed or wanted from Roxanne. I have already used all mine up :) She painted flowers on Lyssa's ceiling. Turned out sooo cute.

Thanks again Roxanne for all your hard work.

Progress & Other Things

Wow! When I look back on those pictures I can hardly believe it! For three straight weeks we have been scraping, priming, texturing and painting. I cannot even begin to say how much I love it. We are 90% finished but I'm not posting pictures until everything is complete! You won't believe the changes!

On another note...it's football season! We have our first scrimmage tomorrow. Everyone is so excited get the season started.

Other random but important facts...

My boy started playing baseball. I think he has found another love, it's right up there with football. As we left a two hour practice on Wednesday he said, "Well that wasn't very long." The kid is nuts about sports!

We had meet the teacher tonight. I am so excited about their new school and I have heard so many wonderful things about their teachers. Lyssa and Parker continue to blow my mind about this whole moving thing. They walked into their new school like they had walked in there a hundred times before. It helps that this town has welcomed us with open arms. I haven't seen anything like it...thanks again Temple!

Last but not least...more so than ever I feel blessed beyond words. I really have the best family ever. Some of my dearest friends had some big time prayers answered this week!! Life is good!

Pictures are coming soon...I promise! Have a great weekend!
