Mother's Day gift idea...

Have you heard of PUNJAMMIES?

Each Punjammies is created in a facility for women who have either been rescued, released, or escaped from a forced prostitution facility. The International Princess Project was created for these women to help restore their lives. They are taught the skills they need to support themselves. All proceeds go straight to India to pay wages, living expenses, and set up saving accounts.

So, this mother's day help CELEBRATE mother's who give their daughters the gift of freedom. Besides, who doesn't just love a pair of great PJs!

I'm in debt to you

I feel like I could sit here for hours and still not do this post justice. I never know just how to go about expressing my gratitude, love, and respect I have for these two. My mom and dad...

They show through their actions what selflessness is really all about.

They offer to help us move, even though it's further away from them. They offer to babysit, even though they are tired from a full work week. They hardly miss my kiddos soccer games, even tough gas is 4 bucks a gallon. They help fix things up at our house, even though they are in the middle of remolding theirs. They call to check on us daily, even when they know we are fine. They listen to endless stories my kids tell them, even if they've already heard them once. They have always supported us, even in the hardest of times. They never, ever miss a minute they can spend with their grand kids, even if it means getting on a plane when they hate to fly. They never say no to a backyard baseball or basketball game, even though they played one the day before.

Mom and Dad...I wish I could send you on some fancy far way trip that you would remember forever or buy you something that you would least expect. All I can do is promise you that I will pass it on. I will love my children as much as you love us, and I will adore my grandchildren as much as you do yours. Thank you for giving me (us) the best life ever!

Monkeys being Monkeys

Yesterday Parker's class, along with the rest of the kindergarten, had a field trip to the zoo. When I dropped the kids off at school Parker said, "Mom are you SUREEEE you are going to make it to the field trip?" I said, "Yes, of coarse I will see you there." He replies, "Well are you SUREEEE you are going to be able to keep up?" Laughing, I said, "Yes, of coarse." Well, little did I know it was going to be hard work keeping up with these best buds...

We started off by checking out this guy. I did have to say more than once, "Let's not climb on the fence it would not be good if you guys fell in."

Throughout the zoo the boys had to write 10 complete sentences about things they saw or did. They didn't waste anytime...they got started right way.

We also saw these "tall pink birds"

and laughed at the griffie's tongue...

ran past the rhino...

fed the hungry fish...

which led to two VERY hungry boys...

So grateful I got to spend the morning with my boy. I just love his energy and all boyness.

Mrs. Pringle, not sure if you read my blog, but if you do...THANK YOU! Thank you for loving and teaching Parker.
His first year of school has been a great experience. He adores you!

Ripped / This Moment

I have decided to keep going with week 3. I think I'm going to do it a total of 10 days. I will probably do the same for week 4. I haven't weighed again, but I have noticed some changes. If you are contemplating a workout, you should give this a try. I really like it!

As seen on the Bee Hive. I'm starting a series called "This Moment". No explanation needed at times, some posts, just a few words.

Sunday morning I walked up on this.

Sissy spending some time with her baby brother. He loves her with all his heart.

Thursday - Milk Day

I know milk days aren't normally something people look forward to. However, when you get raw, fresh milk every Thursday...that gives you something to cheer about!

It's amazing just how much controversy swirls around this simple, but oh, so complex food. The more I researched it, the more fascinated I became.

Some people think it will kill ya. Others claim it will heal ya!

Reasons we drink raw milk:

*Raw milk is a living food - it contains beneficial bacteria, food enzymes, natural vitamins and immunoglobulins which are heat-sensitive. When you pasteurize milk you destroy these natural components.

*Raw milk has beneficial bacteria - as a living food, raw milk is rich in beneficial bacteria. These bacteria are responsible for stimulating and training your immune system to function correctly. They also work to help your immune system. When you consume raw food with all this living bacteria you can help raise the levels of beneficial bacteria in your gut!

*Raw milk is rich in food enzymes- these enzymes help your body digest milk and better metabolize nutrients.

*Raw milk is rich in natural vitamins - fresh raw milk naturally contains vitamin C which is completely absent from pasteurized milk.

* Raw milk is easier to digest - fresh, raw milk is easier on your stomach and digestive tract.

*Raw milk is just soooo darn tasty!

Hope your Thursday is delish as ours!!

Ripped - Part 3

Goodbye week two!!!! I didn't know I didn't like it so much until I started week three today. Week three is harder, no doubt about it, but I like it better! I feel like it concentrates on quads, shoulders, and butt. I did weigh. Sad to say I haven't lost any weight, but I do feel better. That's worth something, right? I have to admit my diet wasn't good during week two. So, here are my new goals for the next 14 days.

*Eat Clean
*Do an extra 25-30 minutes three times a week
*Keep a journal of what I eat
*Sell my house :) I just threw that in there, but I REALLY want to!!

There I posted it, so I have to do it!!! How are you doing?
