TA-DA

I know I said I wasn't going to post pictures until the bathroom was completely finished, but it's 90% complete so I thought that was close enough.

WOW...this redo was a process! I'll keep it short and simple but here are the steps we took.

We used an oil base primer (Benjamin Moore - fresh start) to paint over the wall paper. Then, we (ok, my mom) plastered the walls. After that was good and dry we did another coat of primer. Finally, we got to paint. I wish I could remember this awesome color, but off the top of my head I can't.
Other things we did were change out the lighting, knobs, and added an updated mirror. That made a BIG difference.

Things I still want to do are change out all the brass and add just a little more decor. Not much though because I want it to look simple, inviting, and clean.

I think this is my favorite room in the house. I wanted to make this bathroom feel spa like, I think I did!

Here's the before again...

Here's after...

Please forgive me for my picture taking skills, not sure about the lighting???

I don't have before pictures of this space, but I can assure you it was just floor to ceiling ugly wall paper!!

Awww...stripes! Don't you just love them!!! I smile everytime I have to go to the bathroom.

Let me know what you think! I would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm off to soak in my tub!!

  1. I love your bathroom! I love the stripes! Is that metal basket from the wheeler pool? Do you and your mom want to come to Mississippi and help me with our house?
